Mohan Kulkarni, MD, is a board certified thoracic surgeon with a special interest in the treatment of lung cancer and gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD). After graduating from the University of Toronto Medical School, Dr. Kulkarni completed his internship in internal medicine at North York General Hospital in Toronto. He then completed a general surgery residency at the University of Toronto Hospitals, a thoracic surgery residency at Ottawa Civic Hospital, a cardiac surgery residency at Ottawa Heart Institute and a fellowship in general thoracic surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. 

Dr. Kulkarni joined the Allegiance Health Medical staff in 1996. He is the Medical Director for Quality and Safety and serves on the Physician Advisory Council. Dr. Kulkarni is also on the faculty of Allegiance Health’s Graduate Medical Education program and is a member of the teaching staff at the University of Michigan Medical School.

Eating junk food, fatty food and other convenience foods will result in a feeling of lethargy, tiredness, depression and bad complexion just to name a few. Try substituting these foods with high fiber, low fat food, mixed with a regular intake of fruit and vegetables.
