Over the years, our success in creating an environment for safe, clinically sound, patient-centered care has earned many accolades from across our industry. While these awards recognize our commitment to providing exceptional patient care, they also challenge us toward continuous improvement in care.

2013

• Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades, placing Allegiance within the top five percent of all hospitals for its excellent performance in safeguarding patients from serious, potentially preventable complications during their hospital stays.
• CareChex 2013 Patient Safety Award for ranking in the Top 10% of U.S. hospitals for patient safety related to: Heart Attack Treatment, Heart Failure Treatment, Vascular Surgery, Overall Medical Care and Overall Surgical Care
• CareChex 2013 Medical Excellence Award for ranking among the Top 100 hospitals in the nation for: Heart Attack Treatment, Trauma Care, Overall Hospital Care and Overall Medical Care
• Distinguished Hospital Award - Clinical Excellence from HealthGrades, the leading independent health care ratings company. Only 262 hospitals in the country received this year’s award.
• America's 100 Best Hospitals from Healthgrades. By earning this distinction, Allegiance Health is among the top two percent of hospitals in the nation for clinical excellence.

2012

• CareChex Top 100 Hospital 2012 Medical Excellence Awards from the Delta Group, one of the nation’s largest privately held health care information service companies. Allegiance Health was honored with three awards for Overall Medical Care, Overall Hospital Care and Overall Surgical Care.
• "A" Patient Safety Rating from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit organization that monitors hospital safety and quality.
• 2012 VHA Leadership Award for Community Benefit Excellence - Allegiance Health was one of only two health systems in the country to receive this award for excellence in community service.
• Distinguished Hospital Award - Clinical Excellence from HealthGrades, the leading independent health care ratings company. Allegiance Health received numerous other HealthGrades recognitions for excellence in Patient Safety, Emergency Medicine, Coronary Intervention and Stroke Care. HealthGrades ranked Allegiance among the Top 5% in the nation for Critical Care, Treatment of Stroke, and Emergency Care.

2011

• Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals - This is the fifth time — and third time in four years — Allegiance Health has received the 100 Top Hospitals designation for being a "best hospital, overall" based on national performance measures.
• Michigan Quality Council Honor Roll - Bestowed by an independent panel of judges when an organization demonstrates consistent progress toward performance excellence.

2010

• Allegiance Health is the recipient of the American Hospital Association’s 2010 Foster G. McGaw Prize for Excellence in Community Service. One of the most esteemed community service honors in health care, the Foster G. McGaw Prize is presented to only one hospital in the United States each year. To qualify, a health care organization must demonstrate that it provides innovative programs to significantly improve the health and well-being of its community.
• Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals for National Benchmarks - This is the fourth time Allegiance Health has received the 100 Top Hospitals designation for being a “best hospital, overall” based on national performance measures. It also distinguishes Allegiance Health as 1 of the top 20 large community hospitals in the country.
• Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals: Everest Award for National Benchmarks - Allegiance Health is 1 of only 23 hospitals in the United States to win this new award, which honors hospitals that are achieving the highest standards for quality care and improving long-term performance at the fastest rate. This prestigious award recognizes Allegiance Health’s ability to sustain excellent performance based on rigorous national standards.

2009

• Practice Greenhealth presented Allegiance with the Environmental Leadership Circle Award for exceptional environmental stewardship.
• Allegiance received the Premier Award for Quality (AFQ) on behalf of the Premier healthcare alliance. The award recognized Allegiance for outstanding patient care and setting the standard for clinical excellence and operational efficiency. Allegiance was one of only 23 of the 3,796 eligible hospitals nationwide to be recognized by AFQ, placing our health system among the Top 1 Percent.
• Allegiance Health has earned the ICU Design runner up award from the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) for the design of its new Cardiac Universal Bed (CUB) Unit. The Honorable Mention Citation was announced at the 38th annual SCCM Congress.
• Allegiance Home Care was selected by the Michigan Peer Review Organization (MPRO) as Michigan's only home care agency to present to the Reducing Re-hospitalization Initiative Steering Committee.
• Allegiance Health Marketing has earned three national awards in recognition of recent re-branding work:
• The new Allegiance logo and letterhead design received a “Gold Award” in the 26^th Annual Healthcare Advertising Award competition--the largest of its kind in the country. Equivalent to “First Place,” Gold Awards represented the top 7% of the 3,600 entries submitted. Allegiance received its award in the category of “Hospitals with 300-599 beds.” Healthcare Advertising Award recipients are selected by a panel of national judges, based on the entries’ creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.
• In the same competition, Allegiance Health received a Merit Award for its 2008 Report to the Community—a booklet introducing the new Allegiance brand and highlighting community services and programs. The Report was part of the brand launch last summer. 
• The Allegiance Health logo and letterhead design was also chosen by a national panel of judges to win an Aster “Gold Award”—sponsored by Marketing Healthcare Today magazine. Allegiance received its award in the “Hospitals with 300-499 beds” category.

2008

• Winner of the Premier Award for Quality by the Premier Healthcare Alliance. Allegiance Health is one of 27 winners out of more than 3,800 eligible hospitals nationwide.
• Named among the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® by Thomson Reuters, a leading provider of information and solutions to improve the cost and quality of healthcare. One of only two large-sized facilities in Michigan to receive this distinction, Allegiance Health was recognized for achieving excellence in the following areas: Clinical Outcomes, Patient Safety, Financial Performance and Efficiency. Allegiance Health has won this award three times. Allegiance Health was also named a Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals® Performance Improvement Leader.
• Practice Greenhealth Environmental Leadership Award from Hospitals for a Healthy Environment.
• Primary Stroke Center Certification from the Joint Commission, signifying that Allegiance Health provides services with the critical elements to achieve long-term success in improving outcomes and assures that its quality is effectively managed to meet the specialized needs of stroke patients.
• Michigan Award of Excellence from the Michigan Peer Review Organization (MPRO) was presented for the second year in a row to Allegiance Home Care Services for its work to improve the delivery and safety of care for Medicare recipients.
• Most Wired Innovator Award from Hospitals & Health Networks for the successful implementation of our automated discharge call system.
• Morehead Associates Staff Engagement Survey STAR award for notable and sustained improvement over time.

2007

• Jackson Citizen Patriot "Corporate Citizen of the Year" Award  
• Lighthouse Award from the Michigan Quality Council for continued efforts toward quality improvement.
• Named to the Environmental Leadership Circle by Hospitals for a Healthy Environment. This permanent recognition was granted to only 19 hospitals nationwide.
• Featured at "What's Right in Healthcare," a national conference on quality improvement
• VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence

• Home Care Elite – Listing of the most successful home care providers in the U.S.
• Commitment to Quality Award – As designated by the Surgical Care Improvement Project initiative, awarded to six Medicare-designated quality improvement organizations
• Press Ganey Award – Most Improved in Overall Patient Satisfaction
• Michigan Peer Review Organization (MPRO) Governor's Award of Excellence for Improving Care and Patient Safety in the Home Health Setting
