Tobacco Treatment Services
Tobacco Treatment is a free service of Allegiance Health. Anyone using tobacco products in any form is encouraged to participate. Individuals, couples and nonsmokers who are concerned about their loved ones may also receive services. Participants may refer themselves or get a referral from health care professionals, employers and others.
We understand that addiction to nicotine is a chronic condition that may include multiple periods of relapse and remission. Services are offered as often as needed and include:
- Assessment
- Behavior management
- Addiction education
- Education on medications that increase success rates
- Relapse prevention
The length of treatment varies, depending on the participant’s stage of change and willingness to become involved. Services are provided by a certified tobacco treatment specialist.
