Lights of Love 2011

Holiday plans are underway, and the season of peace, joy and reflection will soon be here. Our thoughts turn to cherished time with loved ones and expressing gratitude to those who have touched our lives.

Lights of Love logoLights of Love, sponsored by Volunteers of Allegiance Health and the Jackson County Medical Society Alliance, is a wonderful way to honor and celebrate family and friends we hold dear. Through Lights of Love, select evergreens in front of the hospital will shine as we enter the holiday season and will remain lit until January 8, 2012 as a tribute to those we appreciate and remember.

How fitting that this year your 2011 gift will support Allegiance Health's "Power of Touch" campaign to promote a loving bond between newborns and their families. Research shows that infants benefit from early loving touch and gentle words when they are being soothed, rocked or fed. When babies and young children feel secure, it improves their ability to form lasting, loving relationships later in life. To assist parents during these precious moments of early connection with their little one, Allegiance Health Foundation is working to raise funds to improve furnishings of this nurturing environment to accommodate the over 2,300 newborns and pediatric patients we care for each year.

You have two opportunities to provide a tax deductible gift to Lights of Love:
