Allegiance Health Receives Blue Distinction Designation in Orthopaedics

Jackson, Mich. — Allegiance Health is pleased to receive Total Value Designation as a Blue Distinction Center for Hip and Knee Replacement and for Spine Surgery from Blue Cross Blue Shield and Blue Care Network of Michigan. This designation is awarded to facilities that have demonstrated a commitment by consistently meeting the highest standards for quality patient care and cost of care criteria.
“Blue Distinction is a designation of quality and recognizes facilities that have demonstrated expertise for specific procedures,” said Executive Director of Neuromusculoskeletal Services Terry Keys. “We are proud to receive an honor that confirms the success of Allegiance Health and our physicians at achieving clinical excellence.”
The Blue Designation is based on evidence-based criteria established in collaboration with physician experts’ and medical organizations’ recommendations. The criteria include a comprehensive evaluation of structure, process and outcome measures.
