Jackson, Mich. — In recognition of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and as part of its mission to “lead our community to better health,” Allegiance Health reminds women of the importance of annual mammograms.
Allegiance is pleased to provide state-of-the-art digital mammography with computer-aided detection. This advanced technology sets the standard for enhanced imaging and provides the best tool available for the early detection of breast cancer.
The American Cancer Society recommends an annual mammogram for women age 40 and over. Early diagnosis and improved breast cancer treatments have helped to decrease the breast cancer death rate to 1 in 35 in the U.S.
