Allegiance Health Welcomes New Vice President for Human Resources
June 2, 2010
Jackson, Mich. — Cheryl Lamborn has been named vice president for Human Resources at Allegiance Health. A highly-qualified executive with nearly 20 years of human resource management experience in health care, Lamborn most recently served as vice president and Chief Human Resource Officer at Community Mercy Health Partners in Springfield, Ohio.
Lamborn received her master of arts in Counseling from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana, and her bachelor of arts from Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan. Originally from Benton Harbor, she is pleased to return to Michigan and is looking forward to becoming involved in the greater Jackson community.
“Cherie’s strong qualifications, experience and charisma made her a favorite during the interview process—and a clear fit for our organization, “ said Timothy Keener, Allegiance senior vice president for Strategy and Organizational Development. “She clearly understands our mission and values and shares our commitment to serving the health care needs of our community.”
Lamborn commented, “I was struck by two important issues when examining Allegiance Health. First, I noted Allegiance Health’s mission to lead this community to better health and well-being, not just care for the sick; and second, I was so impressed by the passion of leadership to place frontline staff in respected and collaborative roles in decision-making.”
