Dr. Mark Says:
Heartburn is usually a burning discomfort from your stomach into your throat. Heart attack symptoms can feel more like a sudden, persistent heaviness, pressure or squeezing pain in your chest—often paired with sweating, weakness, nausea or shortness of breath—and a sense that something is very wrong (impending doom).
Heart attack symptoms are different for each person. If you think you may be having a heart attack, don’t take a chance. Call 9-1-1 right away; do not attempt to drive. The sooner you get treatment, the less heart-muscle damage you are likely to have.
