Take Part in Lights of Love
Nov. 11, 2010
Jackson, Mich. — Celebrating the holiday season, Volunteers of Allegiance Health and the Jackson County Medical Society Alliance will sponsor Lights of Love, the lighting of select pine trees in front of Allegiance Health to honor and remember loved ones. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Thursday, December 2 at 6 p.m. in the hospital lobby. Trees will remain lit through Thursday, January 6.
Proceeds from this year’s Lights of Love celebration will support the redesign and expansion of the Allegiance Cancer Center, which will offer high quality care to cancer patients that is convenient, compassionate and truly healing.
Donors may participate in Lights of Love in two ways. For a tax-deductible contribution of $10 – 99, donors may have a “Shining Light” on a tree honoring one person, living or deceased. The name of the honoree will be inscribed on a Lights of Love scroll to be displayed in the hospital lobby.
For a $100 contribution or more, donors may honor an individual or couple as “Bright Lights.” These names will also be printed on the Lights of Love Scroll and in the program for the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Both contribution levels will include a card of recognition sent to honorees or surviving family members.
