A comprehensive approach
Because of the many complexities that can be involved in wound management, we take a comprehensive, individualized approach to your treatment.
The process begins with an extensive assessment of the wound site, as well as a complete examination of health factors that may be affecting the healing process. Health professionals in various areas will collectively develop a treatment plan. This may include consulting with other health professionals as needed, such as dietitians and physical therapists.
Education and support
Allegiance Heath educates you and your caregivers on proper wound care at home and suggests lifestyle changes that may aid the healing process. If a chronic disease is involved, you will learn how the disease affects healing.
Staff at the Wound Care Center also help you cope with the demands of wound treatment regimens and lifestyle adjustments.
Allegiance Health will work closely with your personal physician and any others involved in your care, such as family members or homecare professionals. Throughout the process, care is coordinated with your well being and comfort in mind.
