How Our Quality is Measured
- By the Joint Commission: The nation’s leading accrediting body for hospitals, the Joint Commission conducts regular on-site reviews of hospitals. The purpose of these reviews is to identify those hospitals that meet high standards for quality care and patient safety. Allegiance Health was surveyed in 2005 and received an “accredited” rating from the Joint Commission — the highest rating possible.
- Against National Benchmarks: Allegiance Health submits its quality data to several national government and private organizations. These organizations collect information on hospital quality and patient safety efforts in order to assist patients in making informed decisions about where to receive hospital care.
