Application FAQs

Do I have to apply online or could I send my application/resume instead?

All applications, including internal transfer requests, must be submitted online. Internal staff, please apply online utilizing this link: http://Jobs.AllegianceSelfService.org from June through September 2010. Your application will be immediately sent to our HR Employment Team and you will be contacted by phone or e-mail if you are selected for an interview.

I have applied at Allegiance in the past, so why do I have to create a new account?

Allegiance Health implemented a new Job Posting Board on June 1, 2010, to provide you with more features and functionality when searching for and applying for a position. If you applied for a position prior to June 1, you do not have to reapply for that position.

How many positions can I apply for?

Our system will allow you to apply for five positions within a seven-day period of time. If you have reached the limit and attempt to apply, you will receive an error message.

When I attempt to apply I get an error message that I have reached the limit of allowable applications. When can I apply again?

You can apply again when you have less than five active applications on file. When other candidates more closely match the qualifications of the position, your application will be marked inactive by Human Resources and you will be notified via e-mail.  You will then be able to apply for another position.

I have reached my limit on active applications, but there is another position I’d like to apply for. Can you delete my other applications so that I can apply again?

Unfortunately we are not able to delete applications. When your previously submitted applications are reviewed and marked inactive, you will be able to apply again. It is important to apply only for the positions you are qualified for and truly interested in so that you do not encounter the problem of reaching the application limit before you have applied for the position(s) you most desire.

Why is there a limit on the number of active applications I can have on file?

By reducing the number of applications on file we are better able to carefully review qualified applicants who most closely match the qualifications of the position.

Can I apply for any position?

It is important to read the job summary and qualifications before beginning the application process to ensure that you meet the requirements of the position. Please be sure to complete all fields on the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Can I apply from any computer?

You may apply from any computer with internet access. However, if you have a pop-up blocker installed on your computer, you will need to disengage it in order to submit your application online. Additionally, a valid e-mail address is required.

Can I call Human Resources to check the status of my application?

The status of your application can not be shared with you over the phone. However, you may check the status of your application online at any time. To do so, visit the job search page and click "View Submitted Applications". Once logged in, the status of any application you have successfully submitted will be displayed. You will be notified by an Employment Representative by phone or e-mail if you are selected for an interview. You will also be notified by e-mail if your application has been marked inactive as other candidates who more closely matched the qualifications of the position have been identified. Finally, the status of the open position will be posted on the job board.

I am nervous to enter my personal information into an online system. Is my personal information safe?

Absolutely safe. The application does require you to enter personal information including your social security number. But all information submitted is confidential, secure and cannot be viewed by any outside source. Our system provides a layer of security called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to protect your personal data when it is transmitted on the Internet. When SSL is in place, all data is encrypted as it is sent across the Internet. When data is encrypted, it cannot be read by someone monitoring Internet traffic. This is the same security used when you shop on the Internet. When you are visiting a Web site that uses SSL, you will notice the URL in the address line begins with "https" instead of the standard "http".

Thank you for inquiring!
