Volunteering
Each year, nearly a thousand people from all walks of life volunteer at Allegiance Health. Our volunteers can participate in more than 60 areas and services across the health system.
From high school students and students of life, young parents and great-grandparents, professionals and homemakers—our volunteers represent all walks of life, creeds and colors. But with these differences, one similarity remains: the desire to do something that matters and to better the lives of others.
Allegiance Volunteers also raise several hundred thousand dollars each year through gift shop sales and a variety of fundraisers. A board works closely with health system administration to determine the best use of these resources. Some of the local programs and initiative funded in the past include a community dental clinic for the underserved and scholarships to help local high school students achieve their goals of a college education and a career in health care.
