Patient Satisfaction
Evaluating the satisfaction of the patients we serve each day is an important part of how we evaluate our quality--and continuously improve. Patient satisfaction is measured in two ways at Allegiance Health:
- Through Press Ganey: We work closely with Press Ganey to survey nearly every patient to assess their satisfaction with the care and treatment they received at our health system. For the last 20 years, Press Ganey has led the healthcare industry in partnering with organizations to evaluate their customer satisfaction.
Through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS): CMS now provides patient satisfaction data collected on an governmental survey. Since the initiative (termed "HCAHPS) was first announced in 2006, Allegiance Health has voluntarily participated by mailing this survey to a group of patients and providing CMS with the results. Complete reports can be found on the Hospital Compare Web site.
