Allegiance Names Scholarship Recipients

Jackson, Mich. — Allegiance Health University has announced the recipients of scholarships for the 2002/03 school year. These new scholarships were developed to encourage students to pursue careers in healthcare fields that are experiencing critical shortages.
Education Fund Recipients
- Nicole Khon (Employed by Allegiance as a Stress Test Technician) - Program of study: Sonography, Jackson Community College
- Melody Williston (Employed by Allegiance as a Unit Assistant) - Program of study: Nursing, University of Michigan
- Angela Magras-Backes (Employed by Allegiance as an LPN) - Program of study: Nursing, Jackson Community College
- Kristine Weaver (Employed by Allegiance as an LPN-IV Technician) - Program of study: Nursing, Jackson Community College
Scholarship Fund Recipients
- Ricki Acker (Employed by Allegiance as a Pharmacy Technician) - Program of study: Nursing, Jackson Community College
- Erin Gossett (Employed by Allegiance as a Clerical Associate) - Program of study: Nursing, University of Michigan
- Carmen Warblow (Employed as a Home Health Aid) - Program of study: Nursing, Western Michigan University
The Allegiance Education Fund is available to full-time college students who are Allegiance Health System employees. Recipients of the fund receive a monetary scholarship to cover tuition, fees, and books.
The Allegiance Scholarship Fund is intended for full-time college students who are Jackson County residents and/or Allegiance Health System employees. The recipients of the sund will receive a monetary award to cover tuition, fees, and books.
