Allegiance Health and partnering agencies are hosting an event designed to help individuals who have health insurance questions, as well as those who would like help with the enrollment process from a certified application counselor.
Drop-in between 3 - 8 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
Free parking is available in the Visitor Parking Deck and around the Anderson Building. JTA buses also stop at the hospital campus.
As part of the Affordable Care Act, Healthy Michigan Plan allows individuals included in Michigan’s Medicaid expansion to enroll in a plan that covers essential benefits. This program extends health care coverage for individuals who are age 19 to 64 who:
Do not qualify for or are not enrolled in Medicare
Do not qualify for or are not enrolled in other Medicaid programs
Are not pregnant at the time of application
Are Michigan residents with a Modified Adjusted Gross Income at/below 133 percent of the federal poverty level
Eligible individuals can receive coverage for essential health benefits, such as maternity care, prescription drugs, dental services, lab and x-ray services, mental health and substance abuse services, preventive and wellness services and chronic disease management, and much more.
