  • Allegiance to Bring Teaching Capability, 140 Jobs, $21 Million to Jackson - Allegiance Health has begun the multi-year process of developing a Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program. As a teaching hospital, Allegiance will educate recent medical school graduates, commonly known as “residents,” to become specialists in a particular field of medicine.
  • Allegiance Pursuing Trauma Verification to Treat Severely Injured - Although Allegiance has been recognized by independent organizations as one of the best hospitals in Michigan for emergency care, being officially verified as a trauma center assures the community, health care providers and regulatory bodies that the health system has met the rigorous requirements necessary to care for critically injured patients across the entire continuum of care.
  • Pediatrics Unit Receives Generous Donations - American Legion 2nd District Commander Jerry Andrus presented Allegiance Director of Women’s and Services Jenny Wren with a donation of $2,800 from the organization’s “Tabs for Tots” program.
  • Women’s Health Center Continues to Offer Free Breast Health Screens - For the third consecutive year, the Allegiance Women’s Health Center is the recipient of a grant from the Mid-Michigan Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. To date, 300 eligible Jackson area women have received free breast health screens, thanks to this grant.
  • Lifeline Customers: Be Aware of Suspicious Activity - Allegiance Health has been made aware of two recent incidents, one in Adrian and the other in Jackson (Summit Township), involving men who are posing as Philips Lifeline representatives in order to gain access to customer’s homes.
  • Free Health Presentations in April - Allegiance Health has four presentations planned for the month of April, covering a variety of topics, which community members can enjoy for free.
  • Connections for Cardiovascular Health Announces Grant to Foundation - The Health Improvement Organization / Community Hearts Project is designed to reduce cardiovascular risk factors of low-income, underinsured adults through integrating a health management component into the Project Access system of donated care for uninsured workers in Jackson County.
  • Step by Step Winter Community Wellness Initiative - Step by Step is all about helping community members with small steps everyone can take to live healthy so that we can all help make Jackson a healthier, more vibrant place to live, work and play.
  • 2012 Heart and Vascular Month Events - Join us and enjoy more than 25 exhibits, heart-healthy snacks, cooking demos and free health screenings.
