Allegiance Receives National Patient Safety Excellence Award™
Allegiance Health is pleased to announce it is a recipient of the Healthgrades 2013 Patient Safety Excellence Award. This distinction places Allegiance Health within the top five percent of all hospitals for its excellent performance in safeguarding patients from serious, potentially preventable complications during their hospital stays.
“Allegiance Health is honored to be recognized for our continuous efforts to prevent patient harm and improve safety,” said Allegiance Vice President of Organizational Excellence Beth Smith. “Our patients motivate us to provide only the very best quality care. At the same time, it is truly gratifying to be recognized among the top five percent of hospitals in the nation for patient safety excellence.”
Evan Marks, Healthgrades Executive Vice President, Informatics and Strategy, said, “Consumers can be assured that a hospital that has been recognized with a Healthgrades 2013 Patient Safety Excellence Award has demonstrated an established commitment to patient safety.”
“Ultimately, patients simply want to know they will be safe in our care. Being designated as one of the best in the nation in two areas—safety and clinical excellence—is a meaningful acknowledgement of the excellence of our staff and physicians, and it is exactly what the Jackson community deserves,” said Allegiance Health President and CEO Georgia Fojtasek.
Earlier this year, Healthgrades also named Allegiance among America’s 100 Best Hospitals for 2013. By achieving this distinction, Allegiance Health is among the top two percent of hospitals in the nation for clinical excellence.
