Dr. Ruwende, a Rhodes Scholar, is an interventional cardiologist for cardiac and vascular disease. He serves as both Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Medical Director of Research at Allegiance Health. After receiving his medical degree from University of Zimbabwe, Dr. Ruwende earned MSc and PhD degrees from Oxford University, UK. His post graduate training included a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Ruwende joined Michigan Heart in 2006, having previously been on staff in the Divisions of Cardiology at the University of Michigan and the Ann Arbor VA Healthcare System.
