Dr. Macha is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School. He then completed a residency in general surgery at the University of Pittsburgh and a fellowship in cardiothoracic research at the University of Pittsburgh and the National Institutes of Health. At Stanford University, Dr. Macha completed a second residency in cardiothoracic surgery and a fellowship in cardiothoracic transplantation. In 2008, Dr. Macha joined the medical staff of Allegiance Health, where he serves as co-medical director of Cardiovascular Services. He is also a member of the University of Michigan medical staff.
