Dr. Trimble earned his MD at Queen’s University Medical School, in Ontario, Canada. Dr. Trimble completed both an internship and a residency in internal medicine at the University of Western Ontario, then served a second residency in hematology at McMaster University. Board certified in both hematology and internal medicine, he joined the medical staff of Allegiance Health in 1993, where he specializes in hematology and medical oncology.

Dr. Trimble has received awards from the National Cancer Institute of Canada, the Leukemia Research Foundation, Hamilton Health Sciences Laboratory Program of McMaster University, and from the University Hospital Pooled Research Fund. He has also authored several scientific papers, book chapters and abstracts.

Dr. Trimble is known for his focus on his patients and their families and his innovative approach to the treatment and management of cancer.
