Substance Abuse Services
Allegiance Substance Abuse Services specializes in outpatient treatment of substance abuse and chemical dependency. We offer individual, group and family therapies to help you if you’re experiencing problems with drugs and/or alcohol. Specialized treatment is available if you have both substance abuse and mental health issues. We take great care to match you with programs that help you reach your goals.
Who May Receive Treatment?
The program is for individuals 12 years of age or older who are experiencing problems related to substance abuse/chemical dependency. Treatment is also available for individuals facing challenges with both substance abuse and mental health concerns.
Programs and services will help you understand the effects of chemical abuse in all areas of your life. We also offer a women’s group that provides education and support on issues unique to women attempting to recover from chemical dependency.
Programs and services for adolescents have been designed to meet the special needs of teens involved in chemical abuse. The program recognizes that chemical abuse and dependency are primary problems that often exist alongside social, emotional, family, physical, educational and developmental problems. Treatment focuses on the chemical abuse or dependency, with additional emphasis on related issues to help teens achieve of their fullest potential.
Family involvement is an integral part of treatment. Your family is welcome to be involved in assessment, treatment plan development and family counseling sessions, if recommended.
A Full Spectrum of Services
Our clinicians complete a thorough evaluation to assist in coordinating holistic care. Holistic care considers your physical, emotional, social, economic and spiritual needs.
We provide other specialty services:
- Secretary of State evaluations to assist individuals with the driving license reinstatement process.
- Court-accepted online course to complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Education Program (AHSEP) requirement.
- Counseling services to patients taking Suboxone for addiction and/or psychiatric medications to recover from mental illness.
Most forms of insurance are accepted, including Medicaid. You are encouraged to talk to your insurance carrier or our staff about determining insurance coverage. Private pay arrangements can also be made. If you don’t have insurance, our staff can help determine if you qualify for state and federal funding that covers services with a low co-pay. Our clinicians assist with funding authorization when necessary.
Referrals for services can be made by employers, physicians, criminal justice system representatives, the region’s care coordination center, schools, individuals, families or other human services agencies.
Allegiance Substance Abuse Services is licensed by the Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services Bureau of Health Systems and is accredited by the Joint Commission. All professional staff are licensed and credentialed by the State of Michigan with additional certification in addiction-specific counseling.
