Computed Tomography (CT Scan)

Computed tomography, also known as CT scan or CAT scan, uses computer-processed X-rays to produce tomographic images or “slices” of specific organs and areas of the body. Allegiance Health offers standard CT studies as well as high resolution and 3D angiography. All CT services are performed by a registered technologist specialized in computed tomography.

CT exams performed at Allegiance Health include:

  • Brain
  • Abdominal
  • Cardiothoracic
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Angiography

Swelling, pain, redness and increased warmth in a leg may be warning signs of a life-threatening deep vein blood clot. If you have these symptoms, call your family physician or go directly to the Emergency Department.
