Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Henry Ford Allegiance Plastic Surgery specializes in both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Our goal is to provide you safe, high quality surgical care with the best outcome possible.
Reconstructive plastic surgery is used to fix a deformed, non-functional or injured body part or facial feature, making it seem normal in appearance and function. Reconstructive procedures are most often covered by insurance, as they are performed to correct a deformity or health issue, or restore function.
Cosmetic plastic surgery is typically performed to improve your appearance and is not medical necessary to correct a deformity or health issue. These types of surgeries are done to enhance the physical appearance and self-confidence of the patient. These are elective procedures and are rarely covered by insurance companies.
