Tennille Daly: Minimally invasive myomectomy

Thanks to a minimally invasive surgical procedure, Tennille and Marc Daly were able to welcome their daughter, Elise, into the world.

Thanks to a minimally invasive surgical procedure performed with the daVinci robotic surgical system, Jackson couple Tennille and Marc Daly were able to welcome their daughter, Elise, into the world six months ago.

Through a routine exam with Arthur Vendola, MD, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Tennille learned she had a large fibroid tumor in her uterus—unwelcome news for a newlywed who wanted to begin a family. But, Dr. Vendola determined that she was a candidate for da Vinci® robotic surgery – which can result in less pain and a shorter recovery time than traditional surgery.

“I had every confidence in Dr. Vendola, and I knew right away I wanted to continue in his care for the birth of my children,” Tennille said. ”I was back at work within two weeks, and now Marc and I are enjoying every day with Elise.”

Severe chest pain is not always present with a heart attack, especially for older adults, people with diabetes and women. They may experience sudden shortness of breath, coughing, dizziness, fatigue or weakness. Don’t take a chance. Call 9-1-1.
