Henry Ford Allegiance Specialty Hospital uses a holistic approach in meeting the individual needs of our patients. Four specialty programs we offer are:

Renal / Dialysis

Patients may have chronic renal failure coupled with other complex medical needs or they may need dialysis as a temporary measure during an acute illness. Learn more about our Renal / Dialysis Program.

Cardiopulmonary Care

We evaluate and treat patients diagnosed with various conditions of the heart and lungs, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), congestive heart failure, pneumonia, emphysema, asthma, Guillain-Barre syndrome, sleep disorders, cardiovascular disease and neuromuscular disease, as well as patients recovering from heart attacks or heart surgery. Learn more about our Cardiopulmonary Care Program.

Wound Care

We treat patients with serious wounds due to medical conditions, injury or infections including ulcers, degenerative nerve diseases, cellulitis and osteomyelitis. We also care for patients with complications from cardiovascular procedures, amputations, abdominal surgery and skin grafts. Learn more about our Wound Care Program.

Ventilator Weaning

While helping our patients become independent of a ventilator, we test their physical strength and tolerance levels to avoid heart or breathing problems. We base our treatment plan on each patient’s physical assessment, symptoms, disease stage and lab test results. Learn more about our Ventilator Weaning Program.

If you experience signs of a heart attack, chew an aspirin and call 9-1-1. Heart attacks are caused by blood clots in the heart arteries and aspirin helps reduce these clots.
