Physical Rehabilitation Services

Aquatic Therapy

After an illness, injury, or surgery, your sensitivity to pain may increase. It’s also possible that your ability to bear weight on the injured area could be limited. Because the pull of gravity on the body is decreased in water, it allows motion and functional activity to be more comfortable.

Aquatic Therapy at Henry Ford Allegiance Health is conducted in a state-of-the-art Swim-Ex aquatic therapy pool under the care of a physical therapist, a physical therapist assistant or an occupational therapist. Learn more about aquatic therapy.

Hand Therapy

Hand therapists are occupational therapists who, through extra training and experience, specialize in evaluation and treatment of a variety of conditions related to the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. A qualified hand therapist can evaluate and treat any problem relative to the upper extremity. Learn more about hand therapy.
